Why, as Adults, it is so Important to Keep Playing Outdoors.

Outdoor physical activity boosts our endorphins and helps us to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while increasing our elf-esteem, self-confidence, and creativity - it also gives us sharper thinking. When we start adventuring outdoors, we are provided with a range of physical and mental benefits.  Outdoor activities promote our aerobic capacity, cardiovascular health and our muscle strength...It's kind or like the gym...but with more oxygenation, glorious landscapes to get lost in and delicious natural light.

Outdoor activities can uncover new terrains and challenges and get us out of our comfort zone.

This can not only lead us to putting these newly acquired skills into action, but also giving us a good healthy boost towards our sense of adventure. These kinds of experiences 'almost by accident' gives us confidence that we can tackle challenges, and shifts us out of our everyday routines. It doesn't matter whether you are exploring beautiful new landscapes, trying a new outdoor sport, or even taking your skills to the next level, this spirit of adventure will undoubtedly lead you to shifts in many areas of your life...and might even add a little extra spice to it!

Outdoor activities are also a great way to bond with loved ones.

You not only get to enjoy a fun and exciting activity with friends and family, you get to spend some real face to face time together. Exploring nature doesn't really lend itself to TV, video games, mobiles and this means you truly disconnect from everyday demands and enjoy being in the present. When we do something a bit out of the ordinary with our friends/family we get to create long-lasting memories that strengthen bonds. You also get to have fun planning the next adventure!

But be careful, our beautiful Aussie weather can really mess with the hydration in our skin!

We all know we have to drink enough good quality fluids to keep us hydrated (seriously we go on about it enough...)  But when we are outdoors, sometimes we need a little more.  Using a skincare product with a humectant, like Vera, draws moisture into the stratum corneum, or, the top layer of skin,  Aloe Vera, for example, is a powerful humectant that works with our environment to draw moisture from the air and keep our skin hydrated.
